In our early school days, a new batch of students joined us in Class Four, and among them was our dear Catherine. Her arrival challenged the complacent top performers in the class, as they had to step up their game to match her remarkable intelligence. Even back then, Catherine was already an A-listed student, and her cat-like eyes were the talk of the class.
As we moved up to the junior secondary level, Catherine was elected as our class bookkeeper, a highly coveted position at that time. Her neatness and calm demeanor, coupled with her child-like innocence, earned her respect and admiration from both teachers and fellow students. Catherine’s brilliance shone even brighter when she was selected to represent our school at the National Spelling B contest.
Today, we mourn the loss of our dear Catherine Geker, whose sudden passing has left us all in shock. She was not just a good friend, but also a sister and a mother figure to many of us. May the Lord keep her in eternal peace.
