Like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, the sudden demise of a great statesman, leader, husband and father, Ex President Jerry John Rawlings stung the country, close to midday on 12th, November 2020.
There is still scanty information about what may have led to the death of the Charismatic leader except that he died at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital, Accra after a short illness.
Scores of messages of condolences and tributes have poured out, the world over since the news broke.
He led the country from 1979 to 2000, as a military leader for 14 years and subsequently as a democratically elected leader from 1993. He will be remembered for his charisma and great love for his country.
He will be sorely missed. Rest peacefully, STATEMEN!!
