With heavy hearts and tearful eyes, family, friends, and loved ones gathered today to say their final goodbyes to the late Mrs. Dinah Amponsah Baiden R.N. and Ing. Emmanuel Kwesi Baiden. The funeral service took place at PIWC Atomic with several clergymen in attendance, including Pastor Anthony K Mensah who spoke on the topic “Death is not our end.”
Death is a topic that has long plagued humanity with fear and uncertainty. It is the great unknown, and many have searched for a cure to avoid its inevitability. However, as Pastor Mensah noted in his sermon, death is not the end for us. For Christians, death is simply a way to exit this world and enter the next.
The late Mrs. Dinah Amponsah Baiden and Ing. Emmanuel Kwesi Baiden lived a life that embodied this belief. They were devout Christians who dedicated their lives to serving others. Mrs. Baiden was a registered nurse who spent her life caring for those in need, while Ing. Baiden was an engineer who used his skills to make the world a better place.
Their commitment to serving others was evident in the many clergymen from different denominations who were in attendance at their funeral. Reverend Benjamin Serebour-Sakyi of Agape New Testament Church, Reverend Father George Appah of St. Thomas More & John Fisher Catholic Church, Pastor Kwesi Frimpong of Church of Pentecost, Abandze District, and Pastor Dr. Enoch Nyador of Pistis Christian Church were all present to pay their respects.
As the funeral service came to a close, the congregation made their way to the Ekurabadze and Achimota cemeteries for the committal service. It was a somber moment, but also a moment of reflection on the legacy that the late Mrs. Dinah Amponsah Baiden R.N. and Ing. Emmanuel Kwesi Baiden left behind.
They may no longer be with us in body, but their spirit lives on in the memories of those whose lives they touched. As we mourn their passing, let us also celebrate their lives and the impact they had on those around them. May they rest in eternal peace, knowing that they have left the world a better place than they found it.
